If you spend a lot of time writing emails on your iPad, you’ve probably been in a situation where you're writing an email, but need to quickly get some information from another email in your inbox. Mail on the iPad allows you to minimize the current email you're writing, return to your inbox to look at other messages, then open back up the email you previously minimized! This feature is so handy but isn't well known, and it's a trick that once you learn you’ll be using it on your iPad all the time! |
First, let's say your writing an email to someone, but you realise that you need to copy some information from another email to put into the one you're writing.
Rather than deleting the email that you've started to write, simply drag the top of your email downwards until it minimizes along the bottom of your screen.
You're now free to check your inbox for the information you need, then when you're ready, simply drag your minimized email from the bottom of your screen back up to the top!
