One issue which tends to come up a lot at this time of year is google log in details. As pupils go to log on for the first time or the first time in a couple of months they run into log in issues. Invariably this has to do with them not using the @lagancollege.co.uk username. If they use this there shouldn't be an issue.
Currently a lot of our staff and students rely on USB sticks to save and backup their school work. But what happens if a student loses their memory stick and all their coursework with it? And what if you want to access your work on an iPad? As a solution to all of this, every student and member of staff has been set up with a Lagan College Google Drive account with unlimited storage space. Google Drive lets you save all of your work online where it can be accessed from any PC/Mac or iPad. It also can never be 'lost', so your work is much more secure than only relying a USB stick! To find out how to log into your Google Drive, check out our Google Drive section on TeacherTec. Don't abandon your USB sticks straight away however, as we always recommend making sure that you have your most important files backed up in at least two places, just in case! Please be sure to make all of your students aware that they have a Google Drive account as it might save them from losing hours of work on a lost USB stick in the future! |
